Minimal T1D day-kit
One of the hassles that comes with having Type 1 diabetes is making sure to pack what you need when you leave the house.
The glucose sensor may stop working or you may need to change infusion set among other things.
I often end up double and tripple-checking what I’ve packed for myself and for my son. It is hard to make sure that you’ve packed what you need if everything is put in a bag without any structure or order.
I decided to help myself and hopefully others by designing bags, cases and organizers that will minimize packing volume and make it easy to spot if something is missing.
I’ve created a simple organizer that fits the bare minimum that is needed when leaving the house.
Here’s the result:

The next step is to design a slightly larger version that can fit sensors, batteries and other things that are needed if you leave the house for a longer period of time.
